Ronnie Wood and Sir Rod Stewart were among the rock royalty who attended Jeff Beck’s funeral.
The music icon, who was best known for his work with the Yardbirds in 1960s rock and later the Jeff Beck Group, died last month at the age of just 78. He was laid to rest at St Mary’s Church, Beddington, Sutton on Friday, 03.02.23. His former bandmate, Rod, called him a “genius”, and he was also referred to as a ‘Maggie May’ singer.

Jimmy Page, Johnny Depp and Vic Reeves were also present at the moving ceremony. Vic took to social media to share that Jeff had given the “greatest eulogy” among them all. Jeff was called “the quiet chef.”
He wrote, “Just returned from Jeff Becks funeral. Jimmy Page delivered the greatest eulogy. Jimmy Page said that Jeff was the quiet chief, and was referring to all guitarists. He was correct. Jeff was the future of guitarists. Jeff, we will miss you and your music will be loved forever.
