Rebecca Phillips Obituary, Death – An notification was released on Thursday by the Allen County Coroner’s Office about the death of a lady who was 42 years old. The woman’s death was attributed to a house fire that took place on St. Joe Road in Fort Wayne. In a statement that was issued after the completion of an autopsy, the office of the coroner said that Rebecca Kaye Phillips had passed away as a consequence of smoke inhalation that was brought on by an accident.
On January 26, shortly before noon, firefighters were sent to a residence that was situated in the 8100 block of St. Joe Road. The house was a single-story structure. According to the allegations made by the Fort Wayne Fire Department, when they arrived, they saw smoke coming from the structure. Deputy incident chief Adam O’Connor of the Fort Wayne Police Department said in a statement that was issued on Thursday that the reason of the event has not yet been determined.
Phillips was found by teams who were searching for the fire and the victims who were likely to have been injured. After his discovery, he was taken to a hospital and then removed from the apartment where he was staying. She died away there after a period of time had passed. Phillips was the only one that was there in the residence at that same time. Three animals, including a dog and two cats, were killed in the fire.
