Why aren’t we discussing this fascinating case? Harvard Lawyer shot and killed in driveway by hit men hired by periodontist ex brother in law (just found guilty), and just arrested mother in law, and potentially his ex wife (also a lawyer).
Do we think Wendi Adelson will be charged?

Since 20/20 episode aired, the mother in law, Donna Adelson, has been arrested as she was about to flee the country with her dentist husband. Plenty of speculation online re Wendi Adelson’s involvement. Sentencing is next month for Donna’s son, Charlie Adelson. Plenty more to discuss, [R1]/aka Wendi Adelson.

R11 Is there something I don't know about him? He came across like a good guy to me on the stand.
I remember watching a few true crime documentaries about the murder before anyone was arrested. Now the whole Adelson family might go down. I can't imagine what will happen to the boys - will they end up in the custody of the paternal grandparents? They've spent most of their lives hearing the Markel name smeared. I feel like this is ultimately about Donna - the pathology of the family as a whole seems to be rooted with her.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 18, 2023 2:14 PM |
R10 Possibly to throw him under the bus if she had to. She was setting up "Someone did this on my behalf without consulting me". Either that or she isn't that calm under pressure and couldn't help but make references to the things that are dominating her internal thoughts. That's difficult to resist I think.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 18, 2023 2:16 PM |
Yes, R26, she was planting seeds all over the place, telling Lacasse that her brother joked about killing Dan, telling friends that she dumped Lacasse "and omigod he hates Dan so much, hope nothing bad happens!!!" There is no way she was not a part of this, right from the start. I can't wait to see her arrested.
And yet... I have to agree with R25 that if not for Donna, probably none of this would have happened. She is absolutely evil and absolutely relentless. Imagine being raised by such parents!

Wow, I'm just now catching up with this case.
I did not realize that Katherine Magbanua, the girlfriend of dentist Charlie Adelson, got convicted and sentenced to life in prison. She's the one who introduced Charlie to the two hit men. IIRC, she refused to say anything to incriminate Charlie. She now probably wishes she had cut a deal years ago and testified against dentist Charlie. What a dummy. She had a baby face, was a young attractive female, and could probably be out of prison by now.
I'm not familiar with Jeffrey Lacasse. Why is he skeevy? I Googled him and he's a professor at Florida State University.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 18, 2023 9:43 PM |
Magbanua was offered total immunity if she had spilled the beans on Charlie, so yeah she seems like a dummy. My comment about Jeffrey Lacasse being skeevy goes back to the way he came in at Katherine's first trial. He carried a little "man purse" and seemed, to me, as if he enjoyed being there a little too much. There were comments about how he and Wendi didn't seem to be a match in any way. I was mostly joking about Wendi being embarrassed, didn't mean for it to become a thing.
I think Georgia Cappelman doesn't intend to stop until Wendi is behind bars, and to that I say: Good for her. Wendi Adelson is as guilty as sin of conspiring to have her ex husband murdered.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 18, 2023 10:16 PM |

R43 narcissistic family melts down during custody dispute - the father/victim Dan markel won’t budge on letting Wendi (ex-wife) move the kids south to Miami. The divorce/custody proceedings are brutal and eventually cause Dan to threaten reporting Wendi to the bar. When bribing Dan with a million dollars doesn’t work and now fearing serious damage to Wendi’s career as an attorney, maternal grandma and narcissistic matriarch Donna becomes completely enraged. the Adelson family is very enmeshed and Donna conducts the war against Dan instructing Wendi via email. One thing they wanted to do despite being Jewish and excommunicating one son for not marrying a Jew was to convert the kids to Catholicism JUST to hurt Dan, because he was more religious than they were. She said in emails that dressing them up as nazis would even be worth it just to hurt Dan. When the courts kept taking his side time and time again - the entire Adelson family minus the excommunicated sibling conspired to have him killed. The goal - move the kids to Miami and assume total control and influence over their lives/save Wendi’s career.

R51 It's a long process taking down the Adelson clan. First it was the hitmen that were caught - two latin kings, one of whom is the baby daddy of Katie Magbanuwua (I'm not going to look up the spelling). Katie is the ex girlfriend/bimbo fuckpiece of Charlie Adelson, the very skeevy brother of Wendi. There's a channel that posts all the wiretaps that were made public from the surveillance of the Adelson and he is always on the phone with his douche Miami bros bragging about escorts, cars, pussy, etc. He's also a southeast asia sex tourist and therefore probably a pedo. Katie became the middleman between the latin kings and the adelsons. Through Charlie, she received payments, including fradulent checks signed by Donna Adelson from the family dentristry business. Some of the evidence against Charlie Adelson in the recent trial included his discussions with Katie about covering up the payments, he's like "well, I guess we can say you clean the office". Another highlight of the wiretaps is Katie screaming at her lovely mother because she won't spend any time with her kids and is running around getting tit implants and taking vacations with murder money while grandma raises them. They're all complete scum.
I think the hitmen were arrested in 2014, Katie in 2016, and Charlie in 2022. I didn't really follow the 2014/2016 stuff. They got Charlie (and now Donna) by sending an undercover cop pretending to be a latin king to Donna, He bumped into her and handed her an article about the Dan Markel murder with a note saying that the Adelsons are failing to take care of the second hitman (the one not personally connected to Katie) and asking for $5000. This set off a series of communications between Katie and the Adelsons. The bump happened in 2016 and gave them enough to arrest Katie immediately. I'm assuming she did not roll on the Adelsons initially thinking they would take care of her or something. That changed when Charlie was arrested. The reason he was arrested 6 years after the bump is because it took that long for audio technology to be able to clean up some of the noise on a particular recording to be able to decipher what he was saying. Charlie's defense was ludicrous - he claimed that the latin kings killed Dan Markel of their own free will, a person who the Adelsons despised and wanted dead, in order to intimidate and extort the Adelsons. So his theory of defense is that they drove to Tallahassee and murdered Dan Markel without robbing him, on the off chance that Katie would be willing to set up a blackmail plot against the Adelsons right after that. So they murder Dan and then send Katie to Charlie demanding that he pay them 300 something thousand dollars over the course of a few years on a payment plan without ever speaking to him or meeting him because their murder of Dan proves that they're willing to kill and is a way of making the Adelsons take the threats against them seriously. After being extorted by Katie and her gangster associates, Charlie continues dating and fucking her and fails to inform his family about anything that is going on even though many of the checks are in his moms name and it's due to the "bump" into his mom that everyone got arrested anyway.

by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 19, 2023 3:24 PM |
R57 She is named as a co-conspirator and an indictment is expected. She has immunity regarding only her testimony in the trial of Charlie, but that immunity can be revoked if it is proved she committed perjury which is basically a foregone conclusion that they will at least prosecute her for perjury. Charlie and Donna took great care not to mention Wendi in any way. There is a video further back with the 100+ indicators of her guilt. It would be very shocking if she was not indicted for perjury and somewhat surprising if not for at least murder conspiracy. Even the father Harvey who is the least involved from the public evidence is likely going to be indicted - maybe for assisting a fugitive but for something. They're going after the Adelsons like a mob family and Wendi is the biggest prize so she will be last.

Questions that keep me up at night:
Does anyone have insight as to why Wendi keeps her mouth open during most of the questioning? Is it to hide deep breathing or to remind her to remain unemotional?
Is Wendi wearing extensions?
I’m expecting Donna to take her life while in jail. She discussed suicide as an option before being arrested.
Do we know who all Wendi dated after her divorce from Dan? Have these men been interviewed? Have we heard from any character witnesses commenting on Wendi? In the courtroom or media? I’d expect she knew a lot of people and those people would have strong opinions of her.
Why did Wendi frequently talk about her brother’s joke about hiring a hitman? And why share it with police when first learning about Dan’s murder? She also mentioned it to the TV repair man and her ex boyfriend. You’d think she wouldn’t want to draw attention to her brother saying that when her ex husband had just been murdered.
What relationship does the doctor son have with the rest of the family?

What a stupid fool Charlie was...getting involved in this harebrained scheme, and for what? To please Mama? To help his selfish sister, who immediately cast suspicion on him when cops started asking questions? To cast himself as some kind of macho tough guy who could hire a hit man? And get away with it unscathed? He was a goofy looking Jewish periodontist who drove a Ferrari with a license plate that read MAESTRO.
Now that he serving life without parole in some Florida shithole of a prison he will have plenty of time to ask himself whether it was worth it or not. Especially if that twat Wendi walks (which I don't think will happen...) Meanwhile, mom Donna's goose is cooked. She's all over those taped phone calls, not to mention "The Bump" - where she actually calls the guy back!! Donna is 72, and she very well may get the same sentence as her son.
But I agree Wendi is the one who really needs to go down. None of this shit would have happened if not for her whining. She makes a very bad witness too, with that incessant blinking and thinly veiled sarcasm. The jury is going to hate her guts.
I love Court TV, and they have some really good trials coming up - Utah mom Kouri Richards, who served her cute husband a fentanyl laced Moscow Mule - and then wrote a children's book about coping with grief!! Then there's Courtney Clenny, trashy Florida Only Fans model, who stabbed her muscular black lover during their turbulent relationship. And finally there is Boston's Karen Read, who is accused to running over her cop boyfriend John O'Keefe, and leaving him to freeze to death in a huge snowstorm - in front of a house full of cops having a late night party.

Is there speculation that Wendi will be arrested after the holidays to allow the boys to have one last holiday with some of their family?
I just watched some of WA’s testimony. When asked if her family are millionaires, sue replied “no”. Aren’t they multi-millionaires?

I doubt it. The mother of Wendi was gearing up to flee to Vietnam. Who the fuck cares if Wendi has one more holiday season free, for a murder that happened almost 10 years ago. She's been free long enough, if indeed she was involved in the murder.
Nobody wants to give her extra time to enjoy holidays and FLEE.

The detail that seems to get overlooked Re Wendi’s behaviors is that when the police officer informed her that Dan had been shot and would not survive, she didn’t ask about her boys’ safety/whereabouts. She would not have known the time of the shooting and if her boys had already been dropped off at school or not. Did she know they had made it to preschool when she was brought in for questioning?
And again, why would one of her first responses to cops be that she worried someone killed Dan “for her”? Was she still trying to frame Jeffrey?

Is it likely that there will be a civil suit? The Markels are older and live across the country. Even if they won a settlement, I imagine they’d never see a penny of it. Once sentenced, Carlie will not stay in Leon County as there are no State Prisons there, just a road camp which is not his destiny. Court TV had an interview with a former inmate who had done his time at Leon County. He said that there is only one prison in all of Florida that has air conditioning, and Leon County isn't one. Also said that most inmates will be aware that Charlie is fairly high profile and that he comes from a wealthy family, so he can expect that inmates will come up to him and give him a list of canteen items they expect him to buy for them - or else. Absolutely no privacy at any time. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

How does someone in prison get that much phone time
by Anonymous | reply 157 | November 28, 2023 7:05 PM |
R157 IIRC, some jails and prisons basically allow family members or friends of inmates to buy phone minutes that are added to an inmate's account. If there aren't any limits in Florida, I guess it would possible that Donna and Harvey spent a lot on providing Charlie with additional phone minutes.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | November 28, 2023 7:19 PM |
The article explains that since the pandemic, the prison has reassessed phone/calling privileges. Each inmate is provided with a tablet and can use it pretty much any time they want except during lock downs. Yes, there are fees, but the Adelsons have plenty of money so that’s not an issue for Charlie (and now Donna).
All calls are recorded and monitored except for calls between inmate and attorneys.

I’m watching and waiting, [R160]. Harvey too. There’s a great YouTube video out there that provides evidence that he knew about the murder plot. Do we think he will be arrested too?
Why are prosecutors waiting to arrest the family members? Why not prosecute them all at once? I don’t understand their tactic. Why didn’t they arrest Donna when they arrested Charlie? They’ve sat on the evidence the entire time Charlie was in jail and on trial.
by Anonymous | reply 161 | December 2, 2023 3:00 PM |
A few days I listened to the first season of the Over My Dead Body podcast which covered this case. It seemed that the prosecutor Georgia Cappleman waited for law enforcement to gather more quite a bit of evidence on Charlie. In the wiretaps on Charlie's phone, he was advising people to contact him on landlines or WhatsApp in order to keep law enforcement from hiring certain things. It seemed like he was somehow trying to protect Donna.

It is taking a long time but, as these cases are based on a lot of cumulative circumstantial evidence, the prosecution needs all they can get. There is only one chance to convict. Playing the domino game, maybe they get more evidence, like Donna and Harvey trying to flee. Also, someone may flip under long pressure.

I've been following the Devon Hoover case. He was the surgeon who was killed in his home in Detroit. There's Facebook group called Justice for Dr. Hoover. A lot of people in that group constantly bitch about how supposedly the Wayne County prosecutor's office is making things difficult or causing delays in arrests. Whenever someone tries to suggest that the prosecutors may need more than circumstantial evidence to secure a conviction, the anti-Wayne County DA crowd accuses that person of either working for the DA's office or Detroit Police.
When I have visited the Justice for Dan Facebook page, it's a different story than the Devon Hoover Facebook group. The page is run by one of his Dan's friends and a good amount of people commenting are lawyers, law professors, or have other jobs in the legal world. They seem to be more patient and don't trash Georgia Cappleman or other prosecutors involved or law enforcement even though it took years for the trials to happen.

Mike, the host of That Chapter doesn't always have the most astute take on people's personalities. I think Dan Markel was probably irritating, full of himself, and a talkaholic. No reason to kill him, but Mike kept saying what a great guy he was, everyone loved him.
Anyway, Katie Magbanua, the dentist's girlfriend and hitman go-between (and also baby mother to Sigfredo Garcia), actually got paid $100,000. That's a lot!

r171 almost every true crime channel does this - they spend a good 2-3 minutes usually talking about how the victim was a wonderful and bright person, how their smile lit up a room, a loving friend, etc. I don't like it - it's extremely boring and I don't think it should matter. Dan Markel might be a jerk but it doesn't mean that he deserved to be killed. Niceness doesn't always equal goodness either. I think Dan was probably condescending and arrogant, but he managed to have loyal friends. It's been mentioned in the shows that have covered the case, some articles, and the Over My Dead Body podcast that Dan's legal blog did piss people off and he had online and in-person spats. In the podcast, a female friend of Dan's said that some people did view Dan as condescending. The friend defended Dan and said something along the lines that Dan wasn't condescending and that he just liked explaining in views/arguments in full detail. He didn't deserve to be murdered.
I don't think Dan was as well loved by people in the academia or legal communities as his friends have made him out to be. I have noticed this in other cases when true crime shows or podcasts cover the case. It will be sometimes be mentioned that the victim had professional or personal disagreements with others, but the show or people interviewed for a show will sort of whitewash things about the victim. I thought the Travis Alexander case was a good example. He didn't deserve to be killed by the loony Jodi Arias. It was irritating as fuck how some of Alexander's friends and relatives tried to paint him as some nice guy Mormon, when he was pretty douchy and was involved with a sketchy MLM company.
There was a murder case in the early 2000s in Pennsylvania in which a woman Randi Trimble was killed by her husband's friend. The husband Brian had his friend and co-worker Blaine Norris kill Randi so he could collect on life insurance policies. When true crime shows like Dateline and later ID's American Monster covered the case, it was mentioned in both shows that Randi was controlling with finances and disliked the fact that Brian wanted to invest money or get involved in Blaine's indie horror movie project. Randi's mother had been involved with the Dateline episode in the mid 2000s which did feature an interview with a co-worker of Brian's who said that it was known Brian had to pretty much ask permission for things like taking money out to go to lunch with friends or co-workers.
Years later, when American Monster covered the case, Randi's mother was pissed at ID and the production company for covering it. The Dateline episode only featured Randi's mom Nancy and nobody else from Randi's circle was in the episode. The American Monster episode touched on Randi controlling money and mentioned that Brian told co-workers that he wanted to divorce Randi. Randi didn't deserve to be murdered and her husband Brian seemed like a guy who would been better off being a bachelor or married to a woman with similar hobbies or views. The articles on the case always reference/feature Randi's mother and nobody else from her circles. I got the vibe that any friends Randi had weren't loyal enough to defend her in the media or they disliked certain things about her personality. Some murder victims were probably just as flawed as the perps.

The whitewash is what happened to Travis Alexander, murdered by Jodi Arias. Travis was in multi-level marketing, a Mormon fucking around with Jodi, using her as a fuck toy. Yes, she was a sociopath, and no he didn’t deserve to get murdered.
by Anonymous | reply 179 | December 4, 2023 9:57 PM |
I followed a couple of true crime message boards around the time of the Jodi Arias trial. There was one forum where many people didn't like Travis all that much, but they agreed he didn't deserve to be killed. The MLM that Travis was involved with used to be known as Pre-Paid Legal and it's now known as LegalShield. One of the message boards, there was a poster who lived in Oklahoma and worked at a hotel where PrePaidLegal/LegalShield held conferences. The poster described the people in that MLM has being a bit cultish and that whenever hotel employees would go into the conference rooms, the MLM group would stop talking and would stay quiet.
I also recall it was revealed that Travis was close to losing his house to foreclosure around the time of the murder and had rooms rented out in the house. A few posters one of the forums said it was common for MLM reps to pretend that they were making good money and were on the up and up, but in reality they are/were having financial problems, but were doing a "fake it until you make it" act. I think that was the issue Chris and Shanann Watts. Shanann wasn't making much money off that stupid "supplement" MLM Thrive and I recall they were behind HOA payments and other financial issues. Shanann and her daughters didn't deserve to be murdered. Shanann sure as hell didn't come off as likable in a good amount of her social media videos and there have been tons of anti-Thrive posts on various on social media sites about the products are shitty and don't help. With Dan Markel, he probably had an ego as a law professor. But, he wasn't hawking scammy "legal plans" or crap products.

Has it been theorized that the reason Wendi drove to the crime scene was because the original plan was for Wendi to be the first person at the crime scene to discover Dan’s body and call 911? Her plan was foiled when the neighbors called 911 and the cops made it to the scene before she did so she turned around and left.
How did the police find Wendi so quickly at the restaurant she was dining at with a friend? Did they call her to learn of her location? Has her lunch date been identified? Interviewed?

The cop asked Wendi: Is there anyone who would want to hurt Dan? Wendi said that her brother, the dentist, had given her a TV (as a gift) and said to Wendi: "I couldn't afford a hit man, so here's a TV." I thought: WTF? She tips off the cops during her first interview.
Wendi was trying to demonstrate to the cops that her brother was incapable of hurting Dan and could only joke about it. But she really spilled the beans right away.

When I'm not in video meetings, I'll sometimes have true crime shows like Dateline, 20/20, true crime shows on Oxygen, ID, and A&E etc on to while I work. Her attorneys made a deal with the devil. Any other attorney would’ve told her: this is a no-brainer; accept immunity and testify.

by Anonymous | reply 204 | December 11, 2023 9:29 PM |
Donna entered a not guilty plea. The request to be moved out of solitary confinement was denied. She made some kind of comment when someone (I think it was the jail official) was speaking in court and the judge scolded her. The jail official said the decision was to keep in Donna in solitary confinement was due to the suicide comments in the jail calls with Charlie and that during booking at Leon County, she made a comment about wanting to die.

r212 Why would he at this point - it would give him nothing - he's already sentenced.
by Anonymous | reply 213 | December 12, 2023 11:11 PM |
I still say the plan was for Wendi to find Dan shot in his garage and to call 911. That’s why she was dressed the way she was, to appear like an everyday mom and victim. If she’d planned on meeting friends for lunch, why wouldn’t she have dressed up more? I’d like to ask Jeff Lacosse if Wendi’s shorts and owl shirt were typical attire for Wendi - and her unkempt hair too.
It makes more sense for her to discover Dan’s body and call 911 than to wait for who knows how long for his body to be found. It could have been hours or days before anyone else found Dan if it weren’t for his neighbors hearing the gunshot and seeing the perps flee the scene. Her finding the body would control the timeline and allow her to be interrogated and released in time to pick up her boys from daycare.

More from the jailhouse calls between Charlie and Donna. Charlie thought he was going to be acquitted and gave away food and clothes to other inmates. He also trashes the jury and says that three of them looked inbred.

Even notwithstanding the murder, the Adelsons were just awful people: threatening to convert the boys to Catholicism, changing their last name to Adelson after the murder, offering a million dollars for him to give up custody (or move to Miami, I forget) …it was their way or the highway and they just bullied and manipulated everyone around them, especially Dan.
And when that didn’t work, they killed him. And yes, they thought they could get away with it even with rental car records, toll road cameras, security cameras, phone records, etc. Pride goeth before a fall, I suppose.

Articles have noted that Wendi was heavily involved in immigration law activities at FSU. She probably loved to paint the picture of a "kind white female attorney" trying to help immigrant kids.

Donna Adelson has a status hearing on January 9th. At her last hearing in December, she entered a not guilty plea and her attorneys asked for a speedy trial. The judge initially offered a March date, but her attorneys whittled it down to January 9th.
There are numerous recorded phone calls between her and Charlie, mostly complaining about how the dumb Tallahassee hillbillies were stupid enough to convict him. It must be killing her to even breathe Tallahassee air.
Meanwhile, Miss Doe Eyed Princess has gone on blithely with her life in Miami. When Donna placed a call to her, she told her mother that she could not speak to her on the advice of her attorneys.

No way Mama Kingpin’s attorneys are ready for trial on January 9!
She’s probably bitching about being in a Tallahassee jail, so they have to act like they’re wanting trial right away. (So that she will be vindicated, set free, and can return to Miami!)
by Anonymous | reply 234 | January 5, 2024 9:05 PM |
It's just a status hearing - that is when the lawyers discuss the status of the case, and is sometimes when a plea deal will be offered to a defendant in order to avoid trial.
Which of course will not happen in this case. Although it would be interesting if Donna decided to flip on Wendi for some type of deal.
by Anonymous | reply 235 | January 5, 2024 10:09 PM |
I keep reading that the reason they haven’t arrested Wendi is because they want her to testify in Donna’s trial. Couldn’t she still testify if she were arrested today? Why wait? Their case against Wendi would continue to build while she waits for her trial in jail. Surely they have sufficient evidence to arrest her by now.
by Anonymous | reply 236 | January 7, 2024 6:35 AM |
I've been watching excerpts of this trial in complete amazement, while thinking to myself, "How did these idiots (Donna & Charlie-primarily) believe they'd actually get away with this?', and then I had to harken back to the time I was exposed to a true blue, narcissistic family member.
People like this think up schemes that a normal human being would not even fathom. This is what they are: schemers. They are so delusional, they genuinely believe that they will get away with the most illegal, deceptive & outrageous of behaviors. What's tragic, is that sometimes, they do.
I believe that Wendy was in on it, but will avoid justice due to technicalities. .

Evidence points to Wendi driving to the crime scene as part of the plan. She was supposed to be the one to find Dan shot. Here’s why:
We know Dan texted her that morning to let her know he was going to the gym and would be free in 75 minutes. He had asked her to take a walk to discuss the boy’s school placement. He was leaving for NYC the next day and we know Wendi had lunch and evening plans so the only time she’d have available to walk and talk with Dan would be that window before her lunch date/the window of time she drove to the crime scene. Of course, she knew there would be no walk/talk, that she would instead be discovering his body.
When his body had already been discovered she had to quickly amend her plan this going to buy liquor and actually attending the lunch date that she wasn’t otherwise dressed for.
Theory 2:
In her police interview, she slips and says to her mother that Dan was killed in his house (she had not been told where the attack had taken place). Maybe the plan was that he would be killed in his home and not his driveway/car. Wendi would drive to his house for that talk. Dan wouldn’t answer or open the door so Wendi would leave and move on with her day while Dan’s body lay undiscovered for several days.
When hiring a hit man, I’d presume there would be instruction regarding details on when, where and how the hit should go down. Did the Adelson want Dan shot in his driveway or had they planned on the killers shooting Dan inside his home. The latter makes more sense. No witnesses. Gun shot would be muffled. Body would not be found immediately. What did Charlie tell Katy to tell the hitmen? Katy has the answers.
by Anonymous | reply 238 | January 7, 2024 5:35 PM |
I forgot to include that there would be no reason for Dan to text Wendi he was going to the gym unless they were making plans. They were divorced and despised each other. He wouldn’t be sending her text updates about his day unless she needed to know for the purpose of coordinating their schedules.

Katie said in one of trials and I think in one of the jail videos that Charlie gave her envelope to give to Sigfredo and that he didn't want to her open or read the contents of what was in the envelope.

by Anonymous | reply 250 | January 20, 2024 2:11 AM |
I also think Donna was the architect. The emails showed she is a fucking loon who came up with ideas about dressing the boys up as Nazis or converting them to Catholicism. She also had the idea of them paying Dan a million dollars if he would let Wendi and the boys move to Miami.
In transcripts from a podcast that Dan's friend David Lat hosts, he interviewed a guy who wrote a book on the case. The author Steven Epstein pointed out that Dan never became an American citizen. I wonder if the Adelsons ever considered trying to come up with some kind of scheme to get Dan deported.
